ABOUT Craig...

Making a way to get it done.
The U.S. Army was my first job. I served eight years on active duty as a 71L Administrative Specialist and completed my service as an E-4 Specialist. My sergeants major often called on me to “make things happen.” I did, and that expectation stayed with me. It taught me to understand what needs to be done, bring people and resources together, and make a way to get it done.
I’m Craig Williams, founder and CEO of TCK Solutions LLC, a service-disabled veteran-owned business based in Park Forest, Illinois. I’m also a second-generation railroader. On October 2, 2026, I marked 26 years with CN, working in railroad operations and leadership.
TCK began as Craig’s Lint Removal Service. When my mother’s dryer stopped drying properly, I found and cleared a clogged vent. Seeing it work again gave me a sense of accomplishment that stayed with me. Appliance service grew from that moment and remains part of TCK today.
I’m building TCK around the everyday supplies and services facilities depend on: commercial products, equipment and parts, appliance service, and responsive delivery. Facilities teams can tell us what they normally purchase, with quantities and specifications. We source the items and return a proposed basket and quote for their review.
Micro-purchases are a deliberate starting point for our federal work. Each manageable transaction gives us a chance to learn the process from the grassroots level, perform well, document the result, and build the people, systems, relationships, and capital needed for larger opportunities. However, where we start does not determine how far we can go.
I’m developing an in-house internship pilot so others can learn that process through practical work: understanding a requirement, sourcing and pricing it, fulfilling it, and documenting performance. In my response to the SBA’s proposed size standards, I called for a clearer path to first and second federal awards for new entrants. TCK’s pilot is my own effort to build that kind of opportunity within the company.
Outside work, I love soccer and the outdoors. I’ve volunteered with the Boy Scouts, enjoy cycling, and play a good game of chess. My larger goal is to build a company that creates jobs and opportunity in our community. To me, TCK still stands for what it takes to solve a problem: Timing, Collaboration, and Karma.
